Talat Phlu - popular destination for food lovers

Talat  Phlu or Talad Phlu on Therd Thai Road in Thon Buri is a must- visit market. Visitors can enjoy various choices of food.

 Shophouses and vending stalls near the Talat Phlu railway station offer delicious dishes. traditional Thai desserts and noodle soup.  Let's explore!

How to get there: Visitors can take a train at Wong Wian Yai station to Talat Phlu. Passenger buses Nos 4,9,43,111and 175 pass Talat Phlu.  The nearest BTS station is Talat Phlu station and then take a song taew passenger vehicle to the place of tasty food.

Tia Yentafo (Mr Tia pink noodle soup)  is a favourite menu among noodle lovers. The stall is easily to find as it's located in the compound of Talat Phlu railway station. Taste of yentafo is second to none. It's 40-50 baht a bowl.  One bowl may not be enough for noodle lovers.

Those with a sweet tooth throng this Thai traditional dessert shop near the railway station as soon as the shop opens. People pick up queue tickets and wait for their turn to buy khanom wan (desserts) of their choices such as  foi thong (sweetened egg yolk thread), thong yip (egg yolk fudge cooked in syrup) and khanom chan (layer dessert). Khanom is sold at 8 baht a piece (wrapped in a banana leaf).

Greenwealth Market Rama II

If you are looking for delicious Thai food and desserts, Greenwealth Market on Rama II Road will not disappoint you. Vending stalls with colourful umbrellas draw visitors with a variety of ready-to-eat food, fried chicken, fruit juice, fresh vegetables and meat. Prices of food are cheap and the marketplace looks clean.

The flea market, located on Rama II Soi 60/2 in Bangkok, opens daily at two shifts from 5am to 10 am and 2pm to 9pm. Many yummy menues are awaiting food lovers to try.

At this spot, you can visit two other markets - Maruay and Meesuk - opposite Greenwealth. Let's go eat!

How to go there:  Passenger buses Nos 68, 76. 105, 140, 141, 142, 147, 147L, 209 and song-taew pickup trucks passing Rama II Road.

ตลาดกรีนเวลท์ จะสังเกตุได้ง่าย มีร่มสีต่างๆ ตั้งอยู่ริมถนนพระราม 2 หน้าบิ๊กซีการเคหะ ซอยพระราม2 60/2 เดินทางสะดวกค่ะ  มีรถประจำทางทั้งรถเมล์ และสองแถววิ่งตลอดวัน  รถเมล์สาย 68, 76. 105 140  141 142  147 147L และ 209 วิ่งผ่านหน้าตลาดกรีนเวลท์ และอีกฝั่งของถนนพระราม 2 เป็นตลาดมีสุขและตลาดมารวยค่ะ
