Hai Tak - sea of fog in Loei

When people mention the sea of fog, popular mountainous attractions like the Phu Thab  Boek in Phetchabun province often come to their minds.

In neighbouring  Loei province,  Hai Tak, about 20 kilometres away from downtown Phu Ruea district, has recently emerged as a new attraction for visitors to view the sea of fog. Visitors could see a full  view of Phu Suan Sai mountain in Na Haew district of this upper northeastern province from a popular coffee shop in Hai Tak. On the right side, it is a mountain in Laos.

Camping enthusiasts often throng this mountainous attraction by the end of October to January to experience the cool weather and  enjoy the natural beauty. (Phu Ruea district is about 493 kilometres from Bangkok.)

Campsites in Hai Tak of Phu Ruea district, Loei province were occupied by holidaymakers during the long New Year holiday.
